GRACE HOPPER CELEBRATION
In 2015, there was moment where I considered leaving the tech field… The Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing (GHC) 2015 conference, that celebrates women in computing and STEM globally, changed my life and I got a chance to connect with women across different fields.

GHC 2015
I attended GHC 2015 as a Scholar and this experience was life-changing! It was a very empowering feeling to be surrounded by 12,000 female attendees, and this conference instilled a sense of community and belonging within me!
Two years later when I attended GHC 2018 as a speaker, I shared my experiences as a woman in manufacturing and different ways to view obstacles as challenge.

I introduced my mentor, Alison Smith, to this conference and we spoke about our journey as women in manufacturing and the different challenges that we have encountered in this field.
We shared our stories and the importance of mentors in our lives, and this session was very well received by conference attendees.

GHC 2019
The following year in 2019, I spoke as a panelist on a Panel that addressed various questions on how to approach mental illness at work and shared my unique experiences with having these difficult conversations. We received an overwhelming response and the ballroom was packed with 400 attendees for this panel.
